Youth ministry
is the active practice and
education of a particular
religion or faith with
young people, or
youth. Youth ministry is, effectively, the way in which
one religious faith or group ministers to and with their
young people.
Christianity
Christian Youth
Ministry is usually geared toward bringing students
together, telling them about
Jesus Christ, and encouraging them to accept him as
their personal
Lord and
Savior.
Catholic
Youth ministry inside
the
Roman-Catholic Church is mainly demonstrated by the
2/3-yearly
World Youth Days. Besides that, there are several
ongoing programs for youth to discover, learn and enjoy
their faith. Some are organised individually by parish or
diocese. There also are several foundations working on a
more or less global base. See also
Catholic Youth Work.

Youth ministry (Evangelical) Evangelical youth
ministry is primarily geared toward persuading Students
generally ranging from middle school aged to College aged,to
accept
Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. It is
the purpose of those in the youth ministry to educate, and
mentor young people in an effort to support their own
personal relationship with Christ. The ministry should
encourage young people to become involved in church by
allowing them to use their talents, and skills in
participatory activities.
